Seattle Pastry Chef has put together a site (Baked Sunday Mornings) together for a bunch of bakers and bloggers to work our way through Baked Explorations. The initial schedule is up and I know I’m going to love everything (wait – ew, Nutella Scones?). Ha.
This is first up in the schedule, so here I am. Working with Nutella, which is really just fat and sugar riding the hazelnut train. Neither Larry or I likes hazelnut very much, so we foisted these on neighbors and anyone else that likes hazelnut.
The trick with these is not to handle the dough too much. Which is difficult given how dry the dough turns out. There’s a swath of Nutella folded inside for a nice surprises for someone who bites into the scone.
