Yes, it’s late Fall, almost Winter. The weather here in the Silicon Valley is cool but mild – still, it’s not ice cream weather. However, pears are in season. And my favorite variety, Comice pears, are abundant… so I pulled out my ice cream maker to tackle a recipe I’ve been patiently waiting to try. It’s got pears, yum. It’s got caramel – that makes it a winner in my book. And it’s really fantastic. Definitely something I’d like to make again.
