Our SirenSeaSA delivery this week was the one we’ve been waiting for. Halibut! Fresh and so perfect.
Halibut doesn’t need much in the way of preparation. It’s delicious plain with some salt and pepper. We might dress it up with a salsa or sauce on the side, but that’s as fancy as we get.
Larry chose the recipe this week, and had dinner ready for me when I got home after a day at a conference. Lucky me!
The halibut is grilled simply, with a bit of salt and a generous sprinkling of pepper. The watermelon salad is refreshing and a bit spicy – we both liked it a lot. It pairs really nicely with the mild halibut and I like how the cool melon contrasts with the heat of the peppers.
