Not a huge fan of whoopie pies, although the red velvet one from… one of the earlier baked books, I can’t remember which, were pretty good. I thought I’d like these more, but it’s a texture thing for me. The filling is good, and the cakes are good (not too sweet at all), but I didn’t love the combination.
These went to work with me, and they weren’t one of the more popular things I’ve made. One coworker told me his requirement is “no marshmallow” (tuck that one away in my vast index of what people like and don’t like).
