A little bit of a cheat here, since we’re traveling for the holidays and there’s no time for baking. But I still want to chat about this cake, because it’s fabulous.
I admit, I’ve never made this as a full-on cake. I’ve mostly made cupcakes out of it – this recipe makes the most beautiful cupcakes. And I’ve made three small, three-layer cakes as well – super cute for a party or to gift to a favorite someone.
What I love about this cake – other than it’s delicious and has a beautiful frosting, is that it’s a perfect canvas for decorating. I like it with white glittery sprinkles in the winter. Or, like here, with scary Halloween cupcake holders.
